Service Technician Areas of Responsibility:
Repair, Maintenance, Testing, and Development Person Reports To:
Service Supervisor Summary of
Responsibilities:
? Responsible for repairs of computers, monitors, printers and other POS hardware.
? Load and test software configurations on serviced equipment.
? Ability to run hardware and software tests.
? Refurbishment and cleaning of product to like new condition.
? Repair equipment within 24-hour turnaround.
? Documentation of parts & repairs preformed on all hardware.
? Perform test procedures during repair.
? Documentation of actual test preformed.
? Assemble equipment on racks to exact configuration of POS system.
? Load software image on computers and registers.
? Test servers, registers, kiosk components, monitors, cash drawers, customer displays, printers, and other miscellaneous equipment to ensure everything is working properly.
? Assist with month end physical inventory count and reconciliation.
? Other duties as requested by supervisor.
Job Qualifications and Skill Set:
? High School diploma or G.
E.
D equivalent ? Two-year technical school diploma in electronics or on the job experience is a helpful ? A
and other PC based certifications are helpful ? Advanced knowledge of computer, hardware/software terms ? Basic understanding of Windows and Office software products ? Must be self-motivated ? Must have accuracy and attention to detail (i.
e.
detailed notetaking, and when disassembling/re-assembling devices.
