Echocardiographer

Role:
Performs adult echocardiograms, adult and pediatric ECG's; monitors cardiac status in stress testing including chemical and treadmill; performs 24 and 48 hour Holter monitors; ambulatory blood pressure monitors; resting and exercise oximetry; breathing treatments and responds to Code blue and emergency situations.
Essential Functions &
Responsibilities:
Performs echocardiogram, stress echo, dobutamine stress echo, ECG. treadmill, holter monitor, holter monitor scanning, ambulatory blood pressure monitor, ABI, KOH and explains procedures to patients.
Maintains current records for echo-lab certification requirements including study review, technician requirements and the status of Physician compliance.
Performs related work as required.
Performs the correct charges before turning them over to coding for billing.
Maintains education CME's for Echo registry.
Performance Measures:
Perform all duties assigned in a competent and professional manner.
Remain current in knowledge required to perform assigned duties.
Maintain a friendly, competent environment for patient testing.
Maintain a cooperative, helpful working environment within the department, as well as during interactions with other departments.
Observe all clinic policies and guidelines.
Qualifications
Knowledge & Skills:
Experience: Two years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education: A two year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.
Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
Physical Requirements:
Frequently requires full range of body motion included in handling patients.
Manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination required.
Frequently requires lifting items weighing 35 lbs. or more; sometimes required to help move patients from wheel chairs to tables and back to chairs.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
